SUMMIT HIGHLIGHT: EXECUTIVE SESSION: A View from the Top: In-Building Wireless
While other sessions at this year’s In-Building Wireless Tech & Policy Summit shed light on issues like policy, workforce development and school safety, we have assembled an exclusive executive panel to zero in on the wireless sector: A View From the Top.
Special Tech Summit Panel Highlights Our Vision for a Safer World
The FCC estimates that a one-minute improvement in 9-1-1 response time would save 10,000 lives in the US each year. It’s a sobering message, which only underscores the importance of the Safer Buildings Coalition’s mission to eliminate wireless dead zones so that first responders and the public they serve can communicate at all times.
From the Chief’s Corner: Breaking Down Mental Fences: Innovating In-Building Communications for Emergency Responders
By Chief Alan Perdue (ret.), SBC Executive Director
Driving through Wyoming the other day I saw a sign that said, "Open Range Livestock on Highway." Meaning: There were no fences and livestock could roam freely. That got me thinking about the future of in-building communications for emergency responders. Often, when we get comfortable with a specific technology, it's hard to think of anything else or going in another direction.

Introducing the SDL-TNL-152 Silicone Cold Shrink
From Gamma Electronics
As team Gamma has been visiting AHJs and integrators throughout the US we listened and responded to what we were hearing. Keep in mind that these networks are critical to keeping first responders communicating in and out of buildings. Cell signal dead spots prevent residents from calling 911 and sometimes it’s not possible to move to a different location inside the building to make the call. Therefore, getting a 95% to 99% coverage is a must when you are stuck in this situation.
We are pleased to announce a new addition to our Cable Assembly product line: Plenum Cable.
We are now offering two new types of air dielectric Plenum Cable: half inch, ETL, CMP, aluminum shielded corrugated-cable, and half inch, ETL, CMP, copper shielded corrugated cable. These types of cable are perfect for ERRCS or public safety DAS and cellular DAS systems. These cables are a great addition to our growing line of Cable Assembly and DAS focused products
Beyond cell towers, it takes many components to make connectivity possible, from the antennas to the network cores. Murphy Network has taken on the task of bringing all those critical components together.
