Some ERCES stakeholders have a indicated a concern about companies who perform in-building radio signal strength assessment testing to determine whether or not a building needs an ERCES system, and who then provides a quote to design and install a system if the building fails. It has been suggested that this is a conflict of interest.

The Safer Buildings Coalition hosted its annual Member’s Meeting and Dinner at IWCE on March 21st in Las Vegas. Around 100 attendees gathered together to celebrate a decade of impact as Safer Buildings Coalition approaches it’s 10-year anniversary date on May 16th, 2022.

The Safer Buildings Coalition continues to grow. We now have more than 150 member organizations across several categories. We value each and every member, and it’s our pleasure to introduce you to some of the latest additions to our member base: MiCTA, NATE - The Communications Infrastructure Contractors Association, Pure Wireless LLC, and Vergibility LLC.
During the past month, the Safer Buildings Coalition Codes & Standards Work Group continued to provide input on code issues as well as move forward other projects.
The Safer Buildings Coalition Government Affairs Work Group met to discuss several updates, including FirstNet Reauthorization HR6768 and NG911 - in Build Back Better Act among other topics.
